What the school is

We are an online exam preparation provider and nothing more complicated than that. Courses are self-paced: there is no class start date, no live session to attend and no instructor setting the pace. You open a lesson when it suits you, work through practice questions in the style of the written exams, and come back as many times as you need.

The content leans on California realities. Setting outriggers on saturated Delta soil, planning around Santa Ana gusts, working near energized lines on a utility job, keeping a pick clean in coastal fog: these are the situations our lessons use to explain load charts, stability, rigging and signals.

Courses are delivered through an established online training platform, so they run in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer. What this site adds is the California layer: Cal/OSHA context, regional conditions and guidance on how candidates here schedule their exams.

Where California's rules come in

Cal/OSHA enforces workplace safety here under a State Plan, and Title 8 is stricter than the federal baseline in a few places. Most notably, the state started requiring accredited, crane-type-specific operator certification back in 2005, and it does not issue a license card of its own. We explain these rules in everyday terms and keep the full rundown in our requirements guide.

What we leave to others

  • We do not issue certificates, licenses or wallet cards. Accredited certifying bodies such as NCCCO do that after you pass their written and practical exams.
  • We do not run a classroom, a training yard or hands-on practical exams.
  • We do not employ instructors or publish pass rates.
  • We do not offer job placement or promise employment, scores or shortcuts.
  • We are not affiliated with or endorsed by NCCCO, any other certifying body, Cal/OSHA or federal OSHA.

Getting in touch

The enrollment form is the only way to contact us, and it goes straight to an enrollment advisor. Let us know the certification you are after, the crane or role involved and roughly where in California you work, and you will get a reply with the course that fits and what to do next.
